Our 2005/2006 Training Program is focused on three essential areas: Waste Reduction, Leadership Development and Technical Skills.

Waste Reduction
|
|
With our emphasis and focus on waste reduction and continuous improvement, we are offering team leader and project team training. We are also continuing with Basic Quality for new hires and Advanced Quality for those involved in pursuing continuous process improvement utilizing the Baldrige criteria. New this year is on-demand OJT waste reduction training for those needing specific assistance with benchmarking, measurement, elimination of waste, etc.

Leadership Development Programs

The Team Leader/Lead Person Development Program is a two-year program. This is an all new program that includes interesting required topics and offers electives as well. This 2005/2006 program will be required of all Leads, Team Leaders, Sales Coordinators and anyone else who is in a 1st line supervisory position.

Technical Skills
|
|
Numerous, more advanced PC classes are being offered. In addition, each Department is encouraged to enhance their associates' technical skills through off-site courses and seminars.

Educational Reimbursement
|
|
In addition to the above on-site offerings, Holsum offers an Educational Reimbursement Program. The Company will reimburse full time associates who have obtained advance approval (see the Forms Section for "Educational Reimbursement Form") for tuition, lab fees, and textbooks upon the successful completion of education courses completed at an accredited institution for coursework taken that pertains to the job or in the pursuit of a degree related to the job and the future with Holsum Bakery. A maximum amount of $5,000 per year per associate will be reimbursable. Grade results determine reimbursement: A (100%), B (75%), C (60%), D or lower (0%).
