Recognition

 


As we know, any and every award is given-out to recognize someone or some group for outstanding performance, be it in sports or any other endeavor like a business.

In the baking business, certain awards are presented to baking organizations for product quality, as well as for such things as plant sanitation. In recent years, business processes are even scrutinized and - for those that are exemplary - recognition is given.

For many years now, the people at Holsum Bakery of Arizona have been recognized for many reasons too numerous to mention in this space. Suffice it to say the people who work at Holsum have and continue to do many good things within the business as well as outside the business, in an effort to help build a better community in which to live and work. We hope you will enjoy reading about some of those accomplishments that we are very proud of indeed!







Product Quality Awards

 


  • Product Quality Awards
     
    • Wendy’s International has recognized Holsum Bakery as one of the “TOP 5” bakery suppliers in North American in 2005, 2006 and 2007. The buns supplied to Wendys have been recognized in the top three in blind testing by Silliker Labs in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
     
    • Roman Meal Bread has recognized Holsum production facilities and products in their annual “Quality Bakery” recognition platform every year in the last decade.
     
     
    • The Independent Baking Co-cooperative,   known as the W.E. Long Co., has recognized the Holsum Bakery products under the Holsum label  as “Best Quality” year in and year out.
     
    • Burger King publicly announced in their World Wide Annual Suppliers Conference in May 2008: “If a jewel exists in the bakery system today, it would be Holsum!” Holsum was recognized as the leader in the bakery system for Burger King in overall product quality, process management and food safety.

 Holsum Bakery's facilities are audited by a number of customers and outside agencies, in an effort to continuously - examine and evaluate its production and distribution spaces and processes.  Our Holsum plants in Tolleson and Phoenix have received SUPERIOR scores from AIB, NSF - Cooke and Thurber and the customer.

Holsum Bakery, Inc. is proud to announce our receipt of a Showcase in Excellence Award, part of the Arizona State Quality Award Program. The Showcase in Excellence Award programs compliments the Arizona State Quality Award with a program focused on evaluating and recognizing specific processes within an organization.
